Singapore under IBF (Institute of Banking and Finance) ensure that industry practitioners continue to keep their knowledge and skills current with industry and regulatory developments. Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours enables practitioners to evolve with the changing industry landscape and enhances the professionalism and value of the practitioners in the Financial industry.
Financial practitioners will need to meet their industry segment’s CPD requirements which can be found in the table below.
CFTE has 5 programs accredited by IBF (eligible for CPD hours and fundings up to 90%) and contribute supporting Finance practitioners to adapt within the changing industry landscape.

Requirement: 15hrs CACS CPD Hours / Year
If you are a practitioner providing financial/wealth advisory services to accredited investors, every year you will need to go through 15 of CACS CPD hours with a minimum of 8hours IBF STS (“IBF Standards Training Scheme”) accredited.
Note: IBF-STS accredited Future-Enabled Skills and IBF-STS accredited programmes are now eligible to fulfil the min of 8hours of Non-Core CACS CPD required every year.

Requirement: 16hrs FAA CPD Hours / Year*
If you are a practitioner providing or advising on mortgage reducing term assurance policies and/ or group term life insurance policies , every year you will need to go through 16 of FAA CPD hours with a minimum of 6hours on Ethics, Rules and Regulations
Note: 30 FAA CPD Hours / Year will be required if you are providing advice concerning any investment product, marketing of any collective investment scheme and arranging contract in respect of life policies.

If you are a practitioner under a Capital Market Services Licence, every year you will need to go through 9 SFA CPD hours with a minimum of 6hours on Ethics, Rules and Regulations
