Ashish is an experienced startup leaders who has helped lead two large Unicorns, Careem and Snapdeal over the past few years. Ashish is the CFO of Careem and has been instrumental in ensuring Careem ride hailing business became profitable and helped Careem evolve into a super app offering multiple services. Ashish’s ambition is to ensure Careem goes from strength to strength and is the largest consumer internet platform in the region. Prior to this, Ashish was the Senior VP of Finance at Snapdeal, looking after finance, legal, M&A and investor relations. Ashish has been an Associate Partner with McKinsey and Company, Singapore, where he was responsible for defining strategies and M&A for TMT companies across Asia. Before McKinsey, Ashish was Director, Business Development & Performance Management for Telenor’s Asia operations based in Bangkok. Ashish has also served as Associate Director for 4 years at UBS London and Mumbai and at Altera’s California office as a Product Marketing Manager. Having advised and worked with firms across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the United States in the past, Ashish brings over two decades of operational experience, management consulting, and investment banking in the TMT sector across Careem, McKinsey, Telenor, UBS, Snapdeal and Altera. Ashish holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family and enjoys playing sports.

Gaurav Dhar is the CEO of the Payments Solution Provider Marshal in Dubai. Gaurav has been working at Marshal for over 19 years now He strives to continually be on the frontier of building FinTech ecosystems and solutions. His personal time is spent on working with and investing directly in innovators, with a view to the future of Fintech both locally and globally via his cache of relationships which include VCs, incubators, accelerators, and start-ups and Angel Syndicates. In his position as a board member of the MENA FinTech Association and several advisory positions to international family offices, start-ups, and funds, he looks to grow the relationships within the FinTech and start-up ecosystem to contribute towards the education of budding disruptors and eventually the growth of economies and the job market where possible in the MEA Region and abroad.
